A little daily reading adds up fast. Print a simple reading log for students to record what and how long they read, with a space for a grown-up’s initials. Or print a Reading BINGO board — each square is a fun reading challenge like “read outside” or “read to a pet” — and let kids fill a row (or the whole board) for a reward.
Set a realistic goal, celebrate progress, and let students pick their own books — choice is the biggest driver of reading volume. Tie a completed log or BINGO to an award certificate, and find great titles on the recommended books page.
